So I’ve been MIA the past few days. Nothing too exciting has happened, although lately I’ve been working towards crossing something off my bucket list.
It seems a bit silly but I kind of want to be in a student film before I’m out of college. And since I’m avoiding my schoolwork now seemed like the best time to make a Backstage.com profile. Honestly I didn’t expect much to happen but I have gotten a couple of auditions already.
So Friday night I began memorizing a script and even got a photography student to come over and film me tonight. And after all that, all I can say is, I don’t know how actors do it.
I know everyone always talks about how hard the rejection is. But what kills me is the uncertainty (surprise, surprise right?). Will I get it? Will they like how I look? Was this the tone they were going for? Etc, etc.
Not to mention all of the work and energy you put into the audition. (I find video submissions to be especially tiring and they’re becoming more and more common).
